DURHAM, N.C. — HyperBranch Medical Technology has received a European CE Mark for its OcuSeal liquid ocular bandages, allowing the company to begin product sales in Europe, the company announced in a press release.

OcuSeal is a synthetic hydrogel that polymerizes in moisture and biodegrades as new tissue proliferates, temporarily protecting and stabilizing ocular wounds after surgical or non-surgical trauma and other ocular conditions, according to the release.

The product is intended for use by ophthalmologists in both surgical and clinical settings. It is available as a single-use, custom device and can be applied directly on corneal, conjunctival and scleral surfaces, the release said.
