CARLSBAD, Calif. — A hybrid contact lens for post-surgical and post-trauma refractive errors has been granted marketing approval by U.S. regulators, according to a press release.

SynergEyes plans to introduce the PS hybrid contact lenses in the United States during the third quarter. The company claims its lenses “deliver the crisp vision of a rigid lens plus the all-day comfort of a soft lens” by having a rigid gas permeable center and a soft hydrophilic outer skirt.
