NEUHAUSEN, Germany — Gebauer Medizintechnik GmbH has established a U.S. subsidiary company to enable Gebauer to build its business and participate in the growing U.S. market for surface ablation procedures, the company announced in a press release.

The new company, called Gebauer Ophthalmic Instruments Inc., located in North Palm Beach, Fla., will manage sales, distribution and marketing for all of Gebauer's surgical equipment in the United States, including the EpiVision product line for epi-LASIK, according to the release.
