Fourth-quarter sales climb 144% for eyeonics

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — Fourth-quarter 2007 revenues for eyeonics totaled $10.4 million, a 144% increase compared with revenues of $4.3 million for the same quarter of 2006, the company announced in a press release.

For the full year, revenue for eyeonics totaled $34 million, a 99% increase compared with total revenue of $17.1 million for 2006, the release said.

The crystalens accommodating IOL has now been implanted in more than 95,000 eyes worldwide, according to the release.
