ATLANTA — CIBA Vision has been given clearance by the Food and Drug Administration to add two comfort claims to the packaging of Clear Care.

The claims, “improved ocular surface symptoms” and “80% of patients prefer Clear Care to their previous multipurpose solution,” resulted from a clinical study of Clear Care versus ReNu Multiplus, Opti-Free Express and Complete Comfort Plus.

According to a company press release, since May the Clear Care product has shown 140% growth.
