FDA approves four generics for ofloxacin ophthalmic solution
Last week the Food and Drug Administration approved four first-time generic equivalents for ofloxacin ophthalmic solution, according to the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. All four generics were approved for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria in conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers.
The four manufacturers whose Abbreviated New Drug Applications were approved are Bausch & Lomb, Alcon, Hi Tech Pharma and Novex.
