Eyeonics reports 30% increase in second quarter revenues

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — Eyeonics Inc. reported revenue of $4.3 million for the second quarter 2006, a 30% increase over the second quarter of last year, according to a company press release.

For the first half of 2006, revenues increased 21% over the first half of 2005 to total $8.4 million.

Implants of the company’s crystalens accommodating IOL grew more than 27% year-over-year and has now been implanted in over 50,000 patients worldwide, according to eyeonics officials.
