EyeCare America highlights free glaucoma tests during Glaucoma Awareness Month

In honor of Glaucoma Awareness Month in January, EyeCare America is urging people who are eligible to take advantage of its free glaucoma eye exams and care.

EyeCare America’s program is designed for people who are U.S. citizens or residents, have not had an eye exam in at least 12 months and are at an increased risk for glaucoma due to family history, age or race.

EyeCare America is the public service foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Since 1985, EyeCare America has provided services to more than 347,000 people and treated more than 180,000 cases of eye disease, according to the organization.
