CHARENTON-LE-PONT, France — EOA Holding Co., a U.S. subsidiary of Essilor International, has offered to acquire the entire capital of Signet Armorlite, a manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses, Essilor announced in a press release.

EOA Holding Co. signed a share purchase agreement, which must be approved by competition authorities in Signet Armorlite's host countries. The acquisition is expected within 6 months.

Signet Armorlite, which is headquartered in California and has revenues of more than $130 million, has manufacturing plants in Mexico, the United States and Europe, and distribution centers in Canada, Portugal and the Netherlands, the release said.
