FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. — Coronado Industries will directly market its device for performing pneumatic trabeculoplasty in Canada, the company announced.

The decision follows Health Canada's June 2006 grant of a medical device license and marks Coronado's first attempt at direct marketing of a medical device, according to a press release.

"Given the close proximity of key Canadian population centers, we believe that our plans offer the potential to generate near-term revenue for the company," said John W. Sharkey, PhD, president of Ophthalmic International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coronado.
