---Orbscan II
Bausch & Lomb’s Orbscan II is a fully integrated, multidimensional diagnostic system that elevates diagnostics beyond simple topography. Unlike current topography systems that scan the surface of the eye at standard points, the Orbscan II acquires over 9,000 data points in 1.5 seconds to meticulously map the entire corneal surface (11 mm), and analyze elevation and curvature measurements on both the anterior and posterior surfaces of the cornea.
By providing more comprehensive preop diagnostics and planning, exclusionary criteria such as keratoconus, pre-keratoconus and corneal thinning can be identified to optimize outcomes in both primary treatments and enhancements.
This system features a Windows-based platform designed to integrate continuing advances by means of software that can be upgraded. Customizable quad maps show any combination of measurements in one convenient format. Slit scanning technology combined with an advanced Placido disk system. Full corneal pachymetry.

---Keratron Topographer
Keratron Topographer. The auto-capture of the Keratron topographer perfectly focuses images in seconds even if misaligned. Just move the Keratron toward the eye. It captures and prints two eyes in a few minutes. For photorefractive keratectomy, it can simulate ablations in advance. The coverage of the topographer ranges from 0.33 mm to 10.7 mm with no shadows to fill in with guesswork or extrapolation to make maps larger. It can map from corneal apex, pupil center or anywhere else.
Network/Laptop/Communications can process data anywhere. The software offers free updates for purchased modules and is compatible with Windows and Windows 95 software.
Scout Portable Topographer. Perform topography anywhere in your office or hospital and nursing home with the completely portable Keratron Scout.
--- Scout Portable
Its rechargeable batteries allow the Scout to move throughout the office or to any remote location. Its built-in memory holds up to eight images. Place the Scout in its recharging cradle to automatically transfer its data to a desktop or laptop computer. Purchase additional base units for your satellite office for greater convenience. The Scout also is available as a slit lamp model, a hand-held model with or without a battery or a surgical microscope model.
Even though it’s portable, the Scout has the same features and accuracy as the full size Keratron. A headrest insures steady measurements. Its built-in alignment monitor assures a properly centered image. The Scout’s patented vertex detector triggers image capture at only the perfect position, eliminating the need for focus compensation software.
Other Scout features include the ability to perform topography on all patients, even those confined to a wheelchair or bed. It uses quick 32-bit software with user-designed, custom output compatible with Windows 95/98. The auto-capture perfectly focuses images in seconds. A specially designed cone guarantees wider maps without shadows to fill with guesswork or extrapolation to make maps larger.
The Scout quickly connects to virtually any computer, laptop or desktop using Windows 95/98. You may provide your own computer. Data is automatically transferred from the Docking Station through the computer’s parallel port. The Portable version must be placed in the Docking Station for transfer to occur. LAN capability is available.
Tomey AutoTopographer
300 Second Ave.
Waltham, MA 02451-1102
(800) 358-6639
---AutoTopographer
The Tomey TMS-3 AutoTopographer is fully automatic. When the patient places his/her face against the ergonomically designed face rests and aligns the fixation target, the TMS-3 automatically focuses the image and acquires a picture.
The TMS-3 is ready to be connected to your PD. A dedicated processor and printer are no longer required, thus eliminating technology obsolescence. When the PC is upgraded, so is the topography system.
The TMS-3 is complete with the comprehensive software that you have come to expect from Tomey: multiple map displays, differential analysis, axial tangential and refractive representations and 3D maps, Klyce corneal statistics, keratoconus screening and contact lens fitting.
The 31-ring Placido cone provides extensive coverage and high resolution, and the low light level of the mires promotes patient comfort.
The minimum specifications for the user-supplied computer are Pentium 266 with at least 32 Mb RAM. The system will operate with Windows 95/98 only.
Topcon KR-8000

Fax: (201) 634-1365
The new KR-8000PA combines an auto-refractor, an auto-keratometer, and a corneal mapping system all into a single, compact unit. This enables the instrument to provide three times the diagnostic capabilities in one-third the space at a fraction of the cost of the individual instruments.
Utilizing electro-optical and rotary prism technology, the new 8000 SUPRA Series is able to obtain perfectly accurate keratometry and/or refraction measurements through pupils as narrow as 2 mm. This means easier and more precise diagnostic results when dealing with glaucoma, asymmetric pupils and elderly patients.
The new SUPRA-Series instruments also have been redesigned for even greater ease of operation and patient comfort, and are as much as 50% faster than previous generation units.

---WaveScan
The WaveScan Wavefront System has received 510(k) clearance by the Food and Drug Administration, to measure standard refractive as well as higher order aberrations of the eye.
WaveScan uses advanced micro-optic arrays to create a fingerprint of the eye.
The optics project light into the eye and analyze the returning wavefront of light using a Hartmann-Shack sensor containing thousands of tiny lenslets. The WaveScan converts the wavefront measurements into an acuity map. It can potentially measure the refraction of a patient’s eye to within 0.1 D.
The WaveScan system also is a closed loop system, which allows real-time feedback from patients. The system contains an active array of thousands of mirrors that can distort the incident wavefronts and correct the measured error, allowing patients to instantaneously experience their wavefront-based corrected vision.

---ATLAS
The ATLAS corneal topography system is highly accurate, affordable and portable. It has a 12” 3 18” footprint, high-resolution data analysis, a powerful computer and software-driven auto-alignment and focusing capabilities.
Just as important, the compact ATLAS System provides significant software advances for corneal topography, establishing a new standard of care for diagnostic, refractive, surgical and contact lens needs.
At the heart of the system is Zeiss Humphrey System’s unique, patented MasterVue software. The MasterVue System’s Cone of Focus technology and Arc-Step Algorithm permit accurate and high-resolution corneal measurement, while virtually eliminating operator- and patient-induced alignment and focusing errors.
The ATLAS System includes other modules that join with MasterVue software to significantly enhance the standard of care in corneal topography. These include the Simulated Ablation Module, which gives you the power to simulate an excimer laser ablation on the corneal map prior to performing surgery; the Advanced Refractive Diagnostics Module, a diagnostic tool that provides a comprehensive view of both the elevation and irregularity of the corneal surface; and the Healing Trend/STARS Display for highlighting trends in serial topography and the changes that can accompany postop healing and contact lens wear.
The QuantumLight Wavefront Refractor is designed to measure, record, analyze and display visual aberrations of a patient’s eye. Aberrations include refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, as well as other higher order aberrations such as spherical aberrations and coma, which can cause night vision problems, glare and halos. Created from wavefront measurements, a refractive error map, unique to each eye, is displayed assisting in prescribing refractive corrections. Refractive errors are currently measured using trial lenses, which do not measure higher order aberrations and rely on subjective patient feedback.
Co-developed with Summit Autonomous, the QuantumLight system presents the state of the art in refraction measurements. Its capability to measure visual aberrations with unparalleled accuracy and repeatability, as well as its ease of use and highly intuitive user interface were rated very highly by several key researchers in the field who where able to see and use the system at the ASCRS meeting this year in Boston.
