Clarity Medical updates RetCam Shuttle with anterior segment capabilities
NEW ORLEANS Clarity Medical Systems introduced an updated version of its RetCam Shuttle that enables real-time viewing and documenting of anterior segment lesions including lens pathology, according to a press release distributed here at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting.
Used traditionally for managing pediatric retinal diseases including retinoblastoma, retinopathy of prematurity and shaken baby syndrome, the RetCam Shuttle features a direct gonioscopy fundus camera for imaging of the anterior chamber angle and is capable of documenting a variety of pathologies affecting the angle, iris and lens.
The device "eliminates the need for auxiliary gonio lenses and makes goniography fast and easy," the release said.
