CIBA Vision initiated a recall last month on one lot of its Aquify eye drops, citing a lack of assurance of sterility at the time of manufacture, according to information from the Food and Drug Administration.

The company is recalling lot No. 52246, which was distributed in the United States, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, according to the company.

A total of 29,592 cases of the product were affected; there are 24 units per case. The recall is ongoing, according to the FDA.
