MELBOURNE, Australia — An epikeratome for use in epi-LASIK has been granted Australian regulatory approval, according to marketer Norwood EyeCare. The Australian approval of the Centurion SES Epikeratome follows approvals from U.S. and European regulatory agencies.

Norwood stated in a press release that about 30,000 patients will undergo refractive laser procedures in Australia in 2005.
