PARIS — B+L's European marketing launch of the Crystalens AO was announced here.

Crystalens AO, which puts a prolate aspheric surface on the previously available Crystalens platform, was discussed during a Bausch + Lomb corporate media event held during the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting and in materials provided by the company.

"The Crystalens AO is an important addition to the Crystalens portfolio and will confirm Crystalens as a gold standard for quality of vision," Robert Grant, the new CEO and president of Bausch + Lomb Surgical, said in a corporate press release. "Optics testing results demonstrate that, unlike other aspheric optics, only Crystalens AO has zero spherical aberration, and is designed to enhance depth of field."
