Bausch & Lomb completes acquisition of eyeonics

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Bausch & Lomb has completed its acquisition of eyeonics, manufacturer of the accommodating IOL crystalens, according to a press release from the company.

Eyeonics is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Bausch & Lomb, and the crystalens IOL adds to Bausch & Lomb's portfolio of ophthalmic surgical products for cataract, vitreoretinal and refractive markets, the release said.

Nixon Peabody LLP acted as legal counsel to Bausch & Lomb. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati acted as legal counsel to eyeonics. Piper Jaffray & Co. served as a financial advisor to eyeonics.

Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
