MELBOURNE, Australia — The Norwood EyeCare Epi-LASIK System will be distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Bausch & Lomb, according to a press release from Norwood.

Under the agreement, B&L will have exclusivity in those two countries to distribute the refractive surgical system. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Norwood Epi-LASIK device received approval by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration in April 2005, the Norwood press release said.

Norwood estimates 30,000 refractive surgery procedures will be performed this year at almost 30 laser refractive centers in Australia.
