ALAMEDA, Calif.— InSite Vision announced positive preliminary safety results from a phase 1 trial of its combination antibiotic-corticosteroid eye drop AzaSite Plus.
In the trial, 46 patients received either AzaSite Plus or placebo twice daily for 14 days, according to a press release from the company. The drug was well tolerated with no serious adverse events. Ocular side effects and IOP were similar between the two groups, according to the release.
