Alliance for Aging launches AMD campaign
WASHINGTON A new campaign to raise awareness in people over 60 about the potential vision loss suffered with age-related macular degeneration has been launched by the Alliance for Aging Research, the group said in a press release. According to the group, the project is geared toward both physicians and patients on methods to recognize and cope with AMD.
Part of the campaign will feature an online module (www.agingresearch.org) that gives patients and physicians access to the latest scientific information. Among the materials is a brochure designed to address patients most frequently asked questions, available to physicians to download.
The materials for the campaign were produced by the alliance in partnership with the National Eye Institute, according to a press release.
