Allergan accepting applications for Horizon Grant Program
IRVINE, Calif. — Allergan is accepting applications from academic medical institutions for its fourth annual Allergan Horizon Grant Program, the company announced in a press release.
The grant program provides funding to academic medical departments to support fellows seeking careers in medicine and conducting clinical research in the diagnosis or pharmacological treatment of glaucoma, corneal and retinal diseases.
Fellowship grants will be awarded in the amount of $50,000 each, the release said.
Applications should be submitted by the department chair, division chief or fellowship director of the academic institution and must be received no later than May 29. All applications will be reviewed by the Allergan grant review committee and an academic advisory board. Allergan plans to announce its 2009 recipients this summer.
