Advanced Microscopy Group launches fluorescence microscope
MILL CREEK, Wash. The Advanced Microscopy Group announced the launch of its newest microscope, the EVOS fl for fluorescence imaging.
The EVOS fl is an LED-based light cube system in which each light cube integrates the illumination source at high intensities. Because the light engine and the fluorescence filters into a single compact unit, the user does not have to align or calibrate the system. LEDs can be adjusted and controlled, so the risk of photobleaching or phototoxicity is reduced.
The EVOS fl has an embedded microprocessor that allows the user full control of image acquisition and management without a computer. The device contains a streamlined user interface able to adjust illumination levels, balance fluorescence and transmitted light channels, capture image data and save it to a portable USB drive.
Also included in the EVOS digital imaging system platform is an inverted microscope, a high-resolution digital camera and an LCD display.
