DULUTH, Ga. — A smaller version of the suction ring used in the Centurion SES Epikeratome for epi-LASIK has been granted U.S. marketing approval, according to marketer Norwood EyeCare. The suction ring will now be available in a 9-mm size, in addition to the currently available 10-mm size, the company said in a press release.

The smaller size ring will be of particular importance for patients of Asian background, according to the release.

Norwood EyeCare is the U.S. subsidiary of Norwood Abbey Ltd.
