Kevin J. Corcoran, COE, CPC, FNAO, is president and co-owner of Corcoran Consulting Group, which provides consultation on third-party reimbursement issues, particularly Medicare. The company’s clients include ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, clinics, hospitals, medical schools, ASCs and manufacturers.
A trained optician and contact lens technician, Mr. Corcoran worked for Alcon Laboratories and IOLAB Corp. in a variety of sales and marketing positions. In 1986, he began a consulting practice, which eventually became Corcoran Consulting Group.
A nationally recognized speaker, Mr. Corcoran has lectured at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Mr. Corcoran consults with physicians and manufacturers and has authored numerous articles in a number of publications.
Donna M. McCune, CCS-P, COE, is vice president of Corcoran Consulting Group. Ms. McCune is a nationally recognized speaker. She has spoken at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators, as well as many state ophthalmic society meetings. She also provides private consulting to vision care providers. Ms. McCune has authored numerous articles on reimbursement and practice management issues in a number of eye care publications.
Prior to joining the Corcoran Consulting Group in 1998, Ms. McCune was an administrator in a high-volume medical and surgical ophthalmology practice in Connecticut for 12 years.
