Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology names OSN as publisher of its congress daily

The Board of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress has named Ocular Surgery News Asia-Pacific Edition as the publisher of its APAO-AAO congress daily newspaper.
The Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology’s annual meeting will be jointly sponsored by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and will be held in conjunction with the Chinese Ophthalmology Society meeting.
The meeting will take place Sept. 16 to Sept. 20 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Organizers are anticipating between 7,000 and 8,000 participants.
The international conference will bring together ophthalmology experts from 18 different specialties and subspecialties.
APAO Secretary General Dennis S.C. Lam, MD, FRCOphth, is also serving as APAO-AAO scientific program committee chairman.
“This will be the most important meeting of the Asia-Pacific region in 2010,” Prof. Lam said. “We are pleased once again to be working with Ocular Surgery News Asia-Pacific Edition to provide the benefit to our attendees of sharing scientific news highlights from the meeting and helping to spread education and the latest information with their readers from the region.”

Carter, chief operating officer of the Wyanoke Group, the holding company of SLACK Incorporated, publisher of Ocular Surgery News Asia-Pacific Edition.
The APAO daily newspaper will be published each day of the congress.
