Ziemer Group announced a new generation of its Scheimpflug/Placido camera for anterior segment tomography.

The company unveiled the new generation of the Galilei Dual Scheimpflug Camera System, the Galilei G2. The new generation camera has a more powerful computer system, which boosts system response, performance and computing power by 30% to 40%, according to a release from the company.

“A new high-performance computer system gives the Galilei G2 now a major boost in processing speed, computing power and data storage capacity,” the release stated. “The optics have been redesigned to further increase the quality of recorded data and to reduce measurement time. And with a redesigned table, working with the Galilei G2 is now even more productive, and the system takes up less space in the customer’s diagnostic cabinet.”

According to the release, the system is available for immediate delivery.
