Nextremity Solutions recently announced receipt of both FDA clearance and CE Mark certification of its MSP Metatarsal Shortening Plate and System.

The company’s latest proprietary foot surgery offering, the MSP system, is positioned for metatarsal shortening osteotomies to correct toe angulation and dislocation as well as to relieve toe pressure.  The company is preparing for a limited release of the MSP system in the coming weeks, according to a company press release.

“We are very pleased to obtain key regulatory approvals for MSP so soon after last month’s Re+Line launch,” Rod K. Mayer, president and CEO of Nextremity Solutions, said in the press release. “Initial surgeon feedback on MSP is that we have achieved an important innovation for forefoot surgery.  This is encouraging as we expand our product portfolio.”
