LAS VEGAS — Laurie Capogna, OD, and Barbara Pelletier, OD, released their book, Eyefoods: A Food Plan for Healthier Eyes, here at Vision Expo West.

Eyefoods provides knowledge on the prevention of eye disease and vision loss through foods and is supported by 25 years of experience and in-depth research. Eye health awareness will help patients recognize the importance of regular optometric care, the authors said in a press release.

Eyefoods focuses on which types of foods can help patients maintain optimum eye health. Capogna and Pelletier also released Eyefoods for Kids: A Tasty Guide to Nutrition and Eye Health, which helps young readers learn about the visual system.
