Boston Children’s named top US pediatric hospital for neurology, neurosurgery

Boston Children’s Hospital has been named the best hospital in the country for pediatric neurology and neurosurgery, according to a press release from U.S. News & World Report.

The 2024-2025 Best Children's Hospitals rankings are based on responses from thousands of pediatricians across the country who responded to a survey created by a North Carolina-based research and consulting firm. More than 100 pediatric medical experts added their input on data collection and analysis. The rankings were ultimately determined by three factors: clinical outcomes, efficiency of care and resource allocation.

It is a great honor to be once again recognized as one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals by U.S. News and World Report,” Boston Children’s President and CEO Kevin B. The annual rankings identify the top hospitals in 11 pediatric specialties, including neurology, cancer, cardiology, orthopedics and a new category of pediatric and adolescent behavioral health.

The top 10 pediatric neurology and neurosurgery hospitals, according to the U.S. News release, are as follows:

1. Boston Children’s Hospital
2. Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston
3. Cincinnati Children’s
4. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
5. Children’s National Hospital, Washington, D.C.
6. Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio
7. Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
8. Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego
9. Seattle Children’s Hospital
10. Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital-University of Utah

According to the release, Boston Children’s Hospital was also named the top pediatric center of New England in regional rankings, and it was named first place nationwide for pediatric neonatology and urology specialties.
