Jessica Hergenreter has been appointed chief people officer at DaVita, where she will oversee engagement initiatives for the company, according to a press release.
“Our incredible teammates are the difference makers for the care we provide to patients,” Javier Rodriguez, CEO of DaVita, said in the release. “Jess brings fresh energy and innovative ideas to the [chief people officer] CPO role, driving initiatives to attract and retain top talent while maintaining DaVita's status as an employer of choice.”
In the role, Hergenreter will handle DaVita's people services team and be responsible for heading various programs to bring the company’s more than 70,000 employees together.
Hergenreter previously worked in human resources at Vail Resorts, became a business partner and progressed to chief of staff and CEO, according to the release. Recently, she handled talent strategies, acquisition, development and diversity for 55,000 Vail workers.
“Having lived and worked in Denver for decades, I've always admired DaVita's distinctive culture,” Hergenreter said in the release. “I'm honored to step into the role of CPO and look forward to continuing to support an inclusive environment that champions diversity and belonging.”
