Colin Roskey, JD, a health care lawyer and former federal health official, has been appointed executive director of Kidney Care Partners, according to a press release.
At the helm at Kidney Care Partners (KCP), Roskey will lead a coalition of more than 30 organizations that represent patient advocates, physician and health professional groups, dialysis providers, researchers and manufacturers.
“I look forward to building upon the coalition’s achievements in improving the lives of the estimated 37 million Americans living with kidney disease,” Roskey said in the release.
Roskey is a principal at a health care policy consulting firm, Federal Health Policy Strategies. With 20 years of experience in health care law and policy, he has served as a deputy assistant secretary at HHS, as well as a health policy adviser and counsel for the Senate Finance Committee.
Roskey’s “wealth of knowledge will be critical in advancing our key policy priorities, including workforce development, innovation, disease prevention and clarifying the original intent of the Medicare Secondary Payer Act,” John P. Butler, KCP chairperson, said in the release.
Roskey said he is honored to join “a diverse organization with a unique, shared vision to achieve a future of patient-centered, quality-driven kidney care.”
