The American Nephrology Nurses Association has named Michele H. Kimball as its new executive director, according to the press release.
Kimball will step into the role previously held by Tamara M. Kear, PhD, RN, CNN, FAAN.
Kimball’s experience includes being the executive director of Kidney Care Partners, principal of AdvocateUS, president and CEO of Physicians for Fair Coverage, director of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Minnesota and a legislative associate for AARP in its Washington D.C. office.

“I am absolutely delighted to be taking on this new role,” Kimball said in the release. “Nurses are true superheroes and the backbone of our health care system.
