FORT WORTH, Texas— In this video from the American Nephrology Nurses Association Annual Symposium, incoming president Angela Kurosaka, DNP, RN, CNN, CCM, NEA-BC, talks about important goals for the organization.

“I have four goals for the next year as president,” Kurosaka, who is also the senior vice president for value-based care and clinical operations at U.S. Renal Care, told Healio. “The first is to release the strategic plan,” she said. “My other goals include focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion, advocacy and launching a new website for our membership.”

The strategic plan has been in development for more than a year, Kurosaka said, and includes the following three pillars: infrastructure, people and brand. “We felt that it was important to keep it simple and not complicate it so that we can execute and deliver on our goals to improve the opportunities and sessions for our members,” she said.
