BOSTON — Mark E. Neumann, editor-in-chief of Healio Nephrology and Nephrology News & Issues, received the Nostradamus Award from National Kidney Foundation’s Council of Advanced Practitioners during the NKF Spring Clinical Meetings, here.

The Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP) annually honors an individual, a group of individuals or organization with the Nostradamus award that, through forethought and vision, recognizes, supports and promotes the contributions of advanced practitioners (APs) in nephrology.

Neumann has served as the editor-in-chief for more than 30 years and has covered clinical, regulatory, economic and legislative news that impact the nephrology practice and the kidney care team. His coverage provides insight for all members of the nephrology practice, including APs, nurses, social workers and physicians.

“I am pleased to receive this award from the NKF CAP. APs play an important role in managing patients with kidney disease in the clinic and as part of the nephrology practice,” Neumann said in a press release. “They have a strong influence on patient care decisions, and I am glad CAP has recognized the work we do at Healio Nephrology in covering important issues for the AP.”
