Satellite Healthcare Inc. and Dialyze Direct executed a letter of intent to enter a strategic partnership collaboration with plans to expand dialysis in the United States, according to a press release.
The collaboration will allow the two organizations to pursue business opportunities together, such as hemodialysis and chronic kidney disease management for older patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs).
“Satellite shares our mission for patient-first care and a company culture that supports research, innovation and processes that make more compassionate dialysis available to geriatric patients in SNFs,” Henry Kauftheil, CEO and co-founder of Dialyze Direct, said in the release. “We are excited to expand our treatment model into more states and SNFs to help meet the dialysis challenges geriatric communities face.”
Additionally, the two organizations plan to join forces on research projects related to dialysis and CKD management among older patient populations.
The letter of intent is subject to customary approvals and confirmatory due diligence, according to the press release. This collaboration takes place a few months after Dialyze Direct obtained Renew Dialysis from Saber Healthcare.
