Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes has launched two implementation tools based on a 2020 clinical practice guideline for the management of diabetes in chronic kidney disease, according to a press release from the foundation.

The KDIGO Diabetes in CKD Visual Guideline and the Diabetes in CKD Infographic Set are “intended to make key recommendations and practice points more quickly accessible and readily understandable.” The interactive tools outline general points, such as common terminology and suggested patient care.

According to the release, “Topics include comprehensive care, glycemic monitoring and targets, lifestyle and antihyperglycemic interventions, approaches to self-management and optimal models of care.”

The guideline update is scheduled to publish in 2022, and the infographic set will be updated to include the latest science and recommendations from the guideline.
