Boston Children’s Hospital ranks best in region, remains #1 in nephrology in the US

Boston Children’s Hospital has again been named the top provider of pediatric nephrology care in the country, according to the most recent edition of “Best Children’s Hospitals,” released annually by U.S. News & World Report.
As part of its expanded rankings, implemented for the first time this year, Boston Children’s Hospital also lands the top position in the New England region for best children’s hospital overall, followed by Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.
“When choosing a hospital for a sick child, many parents want specialized expertise, convenience and caring medical professionals,” Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News & World Report, said in a related press release. “The Best Children’s Hospitals rankings have always highlighted hospitals that excel in specialized care. Now, this year’s new state and regional rankings can help families identify conveniently located hospitals capable of meeting their child’s needs. As the pandemic continues to affect travel, finding high-quality care close to home has never been more important.”
The top-ranked pediatric hospitals in nephrology for 2021 to 2022 include the following:
- Boston Children’s Hospital;
- Seattle Children’s Hospital;
- Texas Children’s Hospital;
- Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center;
- Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford;
- Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia;
- Children’s National Hospital;
- Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta;
- Nationwide Children’s Hospital; and
- Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
