Dialyze Direct, a company specializing in home dialysis, has announced its expansion into Indiana.
According to a press release, Dialyze Direct’s home dialysis care model allows patients with end-stage kidney disease who reside in skilled nursing facilities to receive treatments more conveniently, eliminating transportation to dialysis clinics and reducing recovery time.
The expansion follows the launch of the Advancing American Kidney Health initiative by the HHS and Dialyze Direct’s own partnerships with two national skilled nursing facility operators, HCR ManorCare and Signature HealthCare, as well as dialysis product manufacturer, NxStage.
Dialyze Direct is now operational in eight states, including Florida, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.
“Expanding our compassionate care model into Indiana will enable more patients to experience the improved outcomes and shift in quality of life associated with our advanced home dialysis therapy,” Josh Rothenberg, chief operating officer and co-founder of Dialyze Direct, said in the release. “As Dialyze Direct continues to rapidly expand across the United States, we are excited to see our breakthrough outcomes drive reduced costs for nursing homes, insurance payors and hospitals, lessening the burden of kidney disease on the health care system.”
