Jeff Burbank, Joe Turk join senior leadership team at Fresenius

Fresenius Medical Care North America announced that following the company’s merger with NxStage Medical Inc., Jeff Burbank and Joe Turk have joined the Fresenius senior team in new leadership roles, according to a release from the company.
Burbank, a former NxStage founder and CEO, will serve as the company’s first chief technology officer and will help grow product offerings and connected health platforms. Turk, who previously served as president of NxStage, will be president of home and critical care therapies and will be responsible for expanding access to home dialysis through products on the market. Burbank and Turk will report to Bill Valle, CEO of Fresenius Medical Care North America.

“I’m thrilled that we are bringing these talented groups together under Jeff and Joe’s leadership to ensure we continue to seamlessly integrate the incredible experience and groundbreaking technology from the NxStage team directly into Fresenius Medical Care North America,” Valle said in the release. “Under their leadership, we will centralize our focus on home therapies that are giving life back to our patients with kidney failure by offering more freedom, control and better health.”
