LogistiCare partners with NKF to sponsor Kidney Walks

LogistiCare announced its new partnership with the National Kidney Foundation as a national multimarket sponsor of the organization’s Kidney Walks, according to a press release from the NKF.

As part of National Kidney Month, the NKF Kidney Walks help to support patients with kidney disease and to raise public awareness of the disease and its complications.

“Commitment to community is part of who we are and what we believe,” Jeff Felton, CEO of LogistiCare, said in the release. “At LogistiCare, every member and every ride matter, which is why we extend beyond our daily business to support the communities we serve through various endeavors, including our work with NKF, but also through food and clothing drives, community events and more in the markets we serve.”

LogistiCare’s national sponsorship provides educational resources and support for kidney patients, transplant recipients and care partners, improving outreach across the country. According to the release, the company will participate in 21 Kidney Walks throughout the nation.

“LogistiCare’s commitment to fighting kidney disease is rooted in its core mission and we so appreciate their efforts to raise funds and awareness on behalf of the National Kidney Foundation,” Kevin Longino, CEO of the NKF, said in the release. “With one in three American adults at risk for developing kidney disease, it is more critical now than ever to help support awareness and prevention initiatives to reach all those affected by the disease, and we greatly value LogistiCare’s partnership toward this goal.”

In addition, LogistiCare team members participated in the foundation’s Drive for Dialysis, packing and delivering gift bags of blankets, water bottles, pill cases and other personal items to hundreds of patients on dialysis. LogistiCare and its employees have donated $700,000 during the last 5 years to aid kidney care patients.
