DaVita Physician Solutions, a subsidiary of DaVita Inc., has launched OneView, a new mobile app for its physicians that centralizes patient data management activity.

“Patient management tools are often in siloes and aren’t easy to use,” Adam Weinstein, MD, vice president of medical affairs with IT services for DaVita Kidney Care, said in a company press release. “OneView aims to give physicians access to the right data at the right time so they can focus on delivering the best patient care possible.”

According to a press release, the company created OneView to help avoid IT fatigue, which is “a pain point for physicians across health care.” The mobile app consolidates all physician IT destinations to a single location.

“The data centralization and intuitive design helps OneView produce an experience that is powerfully simple,” Weinstein said.

Other features of the OneView mobile app include:

single sign-on access from anywhere using DaVita login credentials with no VPN required;

review and sign, or dispute unsigned orders for DaVita patients on dialysis using touch ID and face ID;

access to clinical communications from DaVita and bookmark updates for follow-up; and

a list of incomplete tasks that need attention, including unsigned orders, outstanding invoices for medical directors and incomplete encounters in the user’s queue.

Last January, DaVita Physician Solutions implemented a new electronic health records system for CKD care. Called the EHR by Epic, DaVita said the technology was designed to enable better care coordination and increase practice efficiency.

“We wanted to build an EHR that was thorough, yet easy for physicians to use, allowing more time for delivering great patient care,” Matt Brill, vice president of DaVita Physician Solutions, said in a press release. “After 9 months of configurations, we've deployed in 20 practices across 12 states and will continue to rollout this offering throughout 2019.”
