Dittrich named chief medical officer of US Renal Care

U.S. Renal Care, a provider of dialysis services for patients with chronic kidney failure, announced in a press release that it has named Mary Dittrich, MD, FASN, as the company’s chief medical officer.

“Dr. Dittrich is an excellent physician and an advocate for exceptional patient care and wellbeing. She brings a deep understanding of kidney care and the dialysis industry, and we are excited to welcome her to our team,” Chris Brengard, CEO of U.S. Renal Care, said in the release. “Her zeal and commitment to innovative, compassionate care is directly in line with our patient-centric approach and we believe she is the ideal person and physician to oversee our clinical operations.”

In this role, Dittrich will manage all of U.S. Renal Care’s (USRC) clinical operations, physician relations, policies and protocols, as well as quality improvement initiatives, according to the release. She will also oversee and continue to develop USRC’s medical advisory board, comprised of USRC dialysis center medical directors across the country.

Dittrich’s previous experience includes co-founding, operating and serving as medical director for numerous dialysis clinics in Idaho and Alaska, according to the release. She was chair of the medical advisory board for Liberty Dialysis Inc. and also held positions as the chief medical officer of Liberty Health Partners, senior medical director of Remedy Partners, president of Liberty Administrative Services and chief medical officer for Glacier Management Services in Alaska.
