Kidney Week returns to San Diego
Southern California always proves a comfortable venue for medical conferences, and the American Society of Nephrology’s Kidney Week, which is being held Oct. 23-28 at the San Diego Convention Center, should be no exception. In this special Nephrology News & Issues supplement, we address several topics that should be of interest to attendees.

Nephrology Workforce: ASN is partnering with both the European Dialysis and Transplant Association and International Society of Nephrology to develop a new report on this important topic. We include an interview with those coordinating the study and a first-hand perspective from nephrologists in other countries about generating more interest in the profession.
Research and Technology: The KidneyX project focuses on how to build a better dialysis experience. Read our interview with ASN and HHS staff on this initiative.
The Patient Role: Kidney Health Initiative Board Member David White offers a preview of his ASN presentation.
Plus, we present new products debuting at Kidney Week. See you there.
