At the Renal Physicians Association Annual Meeting, Robert E. Blaser, director of public policy at RPA, spoke about the benefits that passing legislation could have on the kidney care community.

“Provisions that we were concerned about with regard to telehealth and dialysis were included in the spending bill that passed Congress about a month ago,” he said. “These would designate both the patient’s home and the dialysis facility as approved originating sites for the purposes of telehealth. This will begin in 2019.”
