ORLANDO, Fla. — At the Renal Physicians Association Annual Meeting, Paul T. Conway, president of the American Association of Kidney Patients, spoke about the benefits and uses of social media among patients with kidney disease.

“Like every section of society, social media is having an impact, but especially in the ‘kidney world,’ so to speak, among patients. Patients are more well equipped and better trained to use social media to advance their interests and get their voice heard and amplified,” he said.
