The number of prevalent end-stage renal disease patients in the United States increased more than 3% to 717,480 in the second quarter of 2016, compared to 694,992 in the second quarter of 2015, according to the most recent quarterly update from the United States Renal Data System.
Incident patients in the same time period fell almost 3% from 31,372 in the second quarter of 2015 to 30,513 in the second quarter of 2016.
