U.S. Renal CMO Stan Lindenfeld retires

U.S. Renal Care Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Stan Lindenfeld has retired. The dialysis provider said it has not yet found a replacement.
Lindenfeld, a 40-year veteran of the nephrology industry, has overseen all of USRC’s partner physician relationships and clinical operations since 2008.
“It is an honor to have worked for a top-tier company like U.S. Renal Care that shares my passion for working to ease the suffering of those dealing with chronic kidney failure,” said Lindenfeld. “Looking back, I am grateful for the support and friendship shown to me by so many in this industry. To my U.S. Renal colleagues, thank you for your compassion and dedication in the fight against this disease.”
A board certified internist and nephrologist since 1976, Dr. Lindenfeld, 69, served as Chief Medical Officer and then Chief Executive Officer of Pentec Health and as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for DaVita prior to joining U.S. Renal. Lindenfeld will continue to serve as a consultant, and a search for his replacement is underway.
Lindenfeld completed a fellowship in nephrology at the University of California in San Francisco and holds an MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University, where he did his internal medicine residency.

Stan Lindenfeld is one of them,” said Dr. Tom Parker, Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Dialysis for Renal Ventures Management. “He was a pioneer in dialysis therapy and its delivery, and continued to push for improvement in quality and innovation for over 30 years. He will be missed."
