NxStage Kidney Care opens dialysis center in Memphis, Tenn.

NxStage Kidney Care Inc., a subsidiary of NxStage Medical Inc., today announced the opening of its dialysis center in Germantown, a suburb of Memphis, Tenn. NxStage Kidney Care also has centers in Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
NxStage said its new facility is focused on providing home dialysis training and education in an intimate setting for people with kidney failure and their families. The facility also welcomes existing home dialysis patients seeking short-term respite care, as well as patients who are traveling.

"We are proud to bring NxStage Kidney Care to the Memphis area and provide patients with flexible therapy options including home hemodialysis with the NxStage System One and peritoneal dialysis," said Dr. Jo Pinnaka, Medical Director at NxStage Kidney Care Memphis. NxStage said it created NxStage Kidney Care to provide enhanced access to home-based and more frequent dialysis.
