The number of prevalent end-stage renal disease patients in the United States increased more than 3% to 704,939 in the fourth quarter of 2015, compared to 682,898 in the fourth quarter of 2014, according to the most recent quarterly update from the United States Renal Data System.

Incident patients in the same time period fell almost .5% from 30,213 in the fourth quarter of 2014 to 30,072 in the fourth quarter of 2015.
