Kent Thiry ranked 19 on Modern Healthcare's 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare list for 2015
Kent Thiry, Chairman and CEO of DaVita HealthCare Partners was ranked 19 on Modern Healthcare's 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare list for 2015. This is Thiry's eighth time on the list. Last year he was ranked number 10. According to Modern Healthcare, Thiry made $13,791,023 in compensation in 2015.
U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Roberts was ranked number one, and President Barack Obama was ranked number 2.
About the ranking
Modern healthcare readers submitted more than 15,000 submissions. A final final ballot with 300 candidates was based on those receiving the most nominations, and readers voted for their top five candidates. More than 31,000 ballots were cast. Readers' votes counted toward 50% of the final outcome and senior editors at Modern Healthcare accounted for the other 50% to determine the final ranking. -by Rebecca Zumoff
