DaVita Inc. has been selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index as one of only six companies in the Health Care Providers and Services Industry.

"We are honored to be recognized for our responsible social and economic practices on this prestigious list," said DaVita Chairman and CEO Kent Thiry. "We appreciate the recognition of operating our enterprise ethically and sustainably."

The indices track the stock performance of companies in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria.
